February 04, 2015 – Between 160,000 and 200,000 children are estimated to be diagnosed with childhood cancer and around 100,000 die from it each year. With proper diagnosis, treatment and drugs, most childhood cancers can be cured. In the developed countries, 80% of children survive, which is a great achievement in oncology treatment.
